Abstract

Populistiske bevægelser har succes i Vesten, mens etablerede partier og institutioner som menneskerettighedskonventioner, frihandelsaftaler, EU og NATO bliver dyrket som folkelige fjendebilleder. Men hvad er populisme, og hvad kendetegner populistisk retorik? Gennem en læsning af Donald Trumps valgkampagne og de samtidige reaktioner på den udvikler denne artikel en topik over den populistiske retoriks kendetegn, herunder den populistiske retoriks særlige potentiale for at skabe uforudsigelig retorisk agency.
