Samtalesaloner som propædeutisk retorisk medborgerskab

Artiklen diskuterer græsrodsinitiativet Borgerlyst og formatet ”Samtalesaloner” ud fra en analyse med udgangspunkt i begreberne vernakulær offentlighed, retorisk medborgerskab og modalitet, og den undersøger projektets selvforståelse som ramme for semi-offentlige samtaler og udgangspunkt for handling på samfundsplan. Der argumenteres for at samtalesaloner ikke umiddelbart falder ind under gængse forestillinger om hvordan offentligheder etableres og mobiliseres, bl.a. fordi handlingsaspektet er diffust. Til gengæld viser analysen at betragtet som propædeutisk retorisk medborgerskab kan salonerne udgøre en proto-offentlighed og dermed en modus for vernakulær retorik.
